PATRICK FONTANA, CFP®

CPFA, FOUNDER, FONTANA FINANCIAL PLANNING

WEALTH ADVISOR, RJFS

Mission

For affluent clientele, Patrick provides customized wealth management strategies and personalized attention – guiding successful entrepreneurs and business owners, medical and legal professionals, real estate and other executives in pursuing financial goals they’ve set for themselves and their families.

For those in their prime income-earning years, Patrick is committed to educating them on risk and aligning their desire to build and preserve wealth and minimize taxes.

According to Patrick, “I see my role as encouraging clients to take a long-term view of their assets. The right allocation for clients who are years from retirement, for example, requires an emphasis on equities. I show them how important it is to invest without emotion. Fall in love with your spouse, not your investments.”

Patrick's Background

Growing up in a military family, Patrick became an All-American tennis player at Missouri’s Truman State University where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in 1994. Upon graduation, Patrick played professional tennis for more than a year. Next, he attended Baylor University where he received a Masters of Science degree in Education in 1997 and was the assistant coach of the Men’s Tennis Team (2004 National Champions). His last six hours of graduate school was an internship with the Professional Golf Association (PGA) at the Four Seasons Resort and Club – where he spent three years as a tennis professional.

Patrick launched his career in financial services with Smith Barney in 2000 and joined Merrill as a Financial Advisor in 2008. Today, it’s not surprising that Patrick is the club champion at Brookhaven Country Club where he, his wife, Yvonne and their three children live on the golf course. Patrick enjoys watching his children perform and compete, playing golf and snow skiing. He still plays tennis almost every day (at 6 am) at Brookhaven.
